JUST ONE Tree makes more than one positive difference.
The Residence is proud to announce their recent partnership with JUST ONE Tree, a non-profit community interest company removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. Our CEO, Steve Lowy, has always had a keen interest in environmental policies and took inspiration from David Attenborough’s recent documentary. After stumbling across an article on JUST ONE Tree, we reached out to create this partnership.
With every booking The Residences acquires, we will be donating one tree to give back to our environment. As a company, we want to make positive changes for our future and lowering carbon emissions is where we can start.
As well as being carbon sinks, trees clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, prevent soil erosion and flooding, give life to the world’s wildlife, form complex ecosystems, supply us with medicine and provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people.
The trees we plant will support reforestation projects in Madagascar, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique, Nepal, Kenya and Zambia where the deforestation has been devastating.
In the process, JUST ONE Tree help provide training, agricultural education and sustainable incomes alleviating extreme poverty within the impacted communities.
The Residence want to provide a cleaner and brighter future for generations to come. This partnership is only the beginning, as we continue to learn about the changes we need to make to give back to the world we live in.
